Our Core Values

We’re passionate about ministry, and nerds for marketing. Our core values reflect on the principles of morality, integrity, and hard work that we are committed to living out every day.

Focused Action

We act with focus. We work hard doing the next right thing, with a bias toward thoughtful, positive action and disciplined execution. We use our values and goals to dictate priorities, avoiding paralysis and chaos. We move swiftly for our customers and provide each one with focused attention to improve their experience.

Intentional Integrity

We are trustworthy, acting ethically even when no one is watching. We seek to create a safe space where each of us can do our best work, building on each other’s strengths. We are quick to praise and slow to criticize, infusing every interaction with honesty, fairness and respect for each other and our customers.

Proactive Responsibility

We take initiative. We define responsibilities, hold one another accountable, and take ownership for our personal actions. We proactively and clearly communicate with our team members and our customers. When there is conflict, we initiate reconciliation, seek understanding, and offer forgiveness.

Innovative Effectiveness

We pursue maximum effectiveness, defining relevant metrics and measuring our performance. We innovate to improve our effectiveness, but never let creativity supersede our drive to increase effectiveness in our work and results.

Constant Improvement

We strive for excellence, not perfection. We learn to improve, because we can always do things better. We see mistakes as opportunities for growth, and correct them by focusing on the solution, not the person. We believe in honest evaluations of our current strengths and weaknesses, regularly assessing each other and holding each other accountable for growth. We also know that sometimes creativity and learning require mistakes, so we encourage each other to fail fast to more quickly learn these lessons.

Financial Discipline

We are careful with the company’s money. While not our purpose, we use profit as a scorecard because it represents the real financial value created by this company. To grow revenue, we focus on offering value to customers through complex products in lines of business that energize us. We also work to minimize costs without sacrificing quality or service. We invest in growth, and use profits for BREAD: employee Bonuses, Reserves, Equipment and assets, funding Accounts receivable, and Debt repayment.

It's Not Ours

We hold things lightly, acknowledging this is God’s company, not ours. He has assembled this company with people from all walks of life, and we embrace the resulting diversity. We work as a team, setting aside ego and personal agendas to pursue what is good for the company and the communities we serve. We move at a sustainable pace that balances work with the rest of our lives. And we have faith that everything is coming together in the end to bless our customers, our vendors, and each other.
